Wind Watch is designed to work without user accounts.

Local preferences

The dashboard stores selected stations, theme preference and similar settings in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device unless you clear them.

Feedback form

If you submit feedback, the information you provide is sent through Netlify Forms so we can read and respond to it. Do not include sensitive personal information.

Hosting logs

Our hosting providers may keep ordinary operational logs such as request times, IP addresses, user agents and error information for security and reliability.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how Wind Watch is used — for example which pages and regions are popular, and what devices people use — so we can improve it. This collects anonymous usage data such as page views, approximate location (derived from your IP address) and browser/device type, and may set cookies. We do not collect your name or contact details through analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; Google's handling of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Third-party data

The app fetches public wind-station data through same-origin proxy endpoints. No API keys or user secrets are stored in the browser.
